About Our Programs

Doc’s Recovery House is a nonprofit recovery community organization in Southeast Minnesota. We provide short-term recovery housing to those who have been placed on a waiting list for residential treatment and provide housing to those who are in need of recovery housing and peer support.

As a nonprofit recovery community organization, we provide a variety of programs to help you reach your recovery goals. Our supportive housing program provides a safe and sober bed either before you arrive at treatment or once you complete a treatment program. We provide confidential chemical use assessments and provide treatment coordination if you’re recommended to attend a treatment program. Throughout each of our programs, we employ peer recovery specialists who have the lived experience of recovery and are trained to provide experience, strength and hope to help support you on your journey.

Note: We opened our doors in February 2019 and currently have housing available for male clients only. We are working to open our women’s house in 2020. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Placement Housing

Our placement housing program (also called pre-treatment) is designed for men who have been placed on a waiting list for a residential treatment program or who are at the beginning of their journey and are seeking treatment services.

This program provides safe, supportive housing and treatment coordination until the resident’s bed becomes available, offering structured programming, peer recovery groups and 24/7 recovery support. The placement program is funded through the housing support program for qualified participants, self-pay or may be donor-funded.

Recovery Housing

Our recovery housing program is designed for men who have completed a residential treatment program and are in need of long-term housing to continue their recovery.

Residents in this program are expected to be a mentor to their peers in the placement program while receiving peer recovery support from staff, structured programming and daily recovery groups. This program is funded through self-pay options or the housing support program for qualified participants.

Treatment Coordination & Peer Recovery Support

In addition to our recovery housing programs, Doc’s Recovery House provides 24/7 staffing and peer recovery support to all residents in our housing programs. We provide advocacy and treatment coordination to individuals in our pre-treatment programs and have daily recovery groups, peer-led programs and individual support meetings with peer recovery specialists available to residents.
