Recovery Housing Programs

Doc’s Recovery House is a nonprofit recovery community organization in Southeast Minnesota. We provide pre-treatment housing, short-term recovery housing to those who have been placed on a waiting list for residential treatment, and provide recovery housing to those who are in need of post-treatment housing and peer recovery support.

Pre-Treatment Housing

Our pre-treatment program (short-term transitional housing) is designed for individuals who have been placed on a waiting list for a residential treatment program or who are at the beginning of their journey and are seeking treatment services.

Simply put, the pre-treatment program offers somewhere to start.

This program provides safe, supportive housing and treatment coordination until a resident’s bed becomes available, offering a safe environment, peer recovery groups, and 24/7 recovery support. The placement program is funded through the housing support program for qualified participants, self-pay or may be donor-funded.

Post-Treatment Recovery Housing

Our recovery housing program (post-treatment program) is designed for men who have completed a residential treatment program and are in need of long-term housing to continue their recovery.

Residents in this program are expected to be a mentor to their peers in the placement program while receiving peer recovery support from staff, structured programming and daily recovery groups. This program is funded through self-pay options or the housing support program for qualified participants.

Treatment Coordination

In addition to our recovery housing programs, Doc’s Recovery House provides 24/7 staffing and peer recovery support to all residents in our housing programs. We provide advocacy and treatment coordination to individuals in our pre-treatment programs to help with chemical use assessments and the coordination of the next step in your journey.

Peer Recovery Support

Across our programs, we employ Peer Recovery Specialists that provide support to residents through lived experience in recovery. We host daily peer recovery groups, individual support sessions and opportunities for connection and community building before, during and after treatment, bridging a gap to long-term recovery.
